Time to Sprint

Hey Everyone!

It seems like everywhere I turned this last week I’ve gotten a face-full of reminders about how I only have three more months on my mission. My mission president sent me a letter called the “Pledge to Sprint” which talks about how in the great Olympic Marathon of old, many of the runners would run together in a pack for the majority of the race at their respective individual pace. Because of this, the race was often won based entirely on if you could dig deep and muster the strength to sprint out the last couple miles as best as you can. This letter ends with a very sincere call for me to commit to also sprint to the end of my mission and give it everything I have. I am officially in the sprint!

I know without a doubt that my Savior has been with me and strengthened me since I made that commitment. There have been a few really rough days and trials also thrown at me since signing that pledge, but the Lord has rendered them ineffective in their attempt to bring me down. I know that the more often we do the right thing, the harder the Adversary works against us. However, I also know that if we dig our heels in, dawn our spiritual armor, and raise our standards high, then the Lord will be with us and we cannot fail. Don’t believe me?! Well then I guess you will have to try it and see! You will just have to do something extra Christ-like today and watch what happens!

Until next week,
Elder Klingler
