New Mission President?!

Hey Everyone!

This week was a load of fun! It was transfer week and since President Alexander was going home and it was his last time doing transfers every area in our mission got switched up, all except us and 3 other companionships! So I am still with Elder Hyer but pretty much everyone else got new companions this week. I had to say goodbye to a lot of great missionaries too since 19 missionaries went home this week.

As I was saying, our Mission President, President Alexander, left for Utah on Thursday night. Our new Mission President, President Adler, got in at 11pm on Thursday night and two hours later President Alexander headed for the Airport. President Adler and his wife are both native to Germany and have some really thick accents! They both have a great sense of humor too, so I’m excited for the year ahead! They will do great.

I’m still continuing with my ASL work and it’s coming along really well! I’ve started to build the habit of Signing my prayers, and I’m getting better! This next week I’m going to try and interpret for the sacrament prayers during church, so wish me luck!

We had meeting in which we got to say goodbye to the Alexanders and a man spoke named Brother Ball, and he said something that really stuck out to me. He said that “When we stop seeing Obedience as a hinderance and start seeing it as our quest, in that moment God will endow us with power.” That hit me so hard because I have seen it in action in the lives of those I have met out here. Even when it seems hopeless or impossible, once they change their outlook and strive to obey, it becomes easier for them to do so, because God gives them strength. As we strive to be Obedient to the commandments of the Lord he will bless us not just with our effort to follow, but in all aspects of our lives.

I love yall and hope you all have an incredible week!

Until next week,
Elder Klingler

1. We went out to a big 4th of July celebration and there were a ton of classic cars there!
2. A member let me jam on his drum kit and it was awesome. He sings and plays guitar and sounds just like he’s from the Beatles haha
