Side Effects = Boldness

Hey everyone!

This week has been a ton of fun for me, and I hope it has been for y’all too!

We were able to go on campus at Winthrop University and we set up a little table along a busy path in the middle of campus. I can tell the mission is changing me a little bit because oddly enough I had no hesitation to just walking up to people or even groups of people and start talking to them. It was honestly kind of weird because I wouldn’t have done that before. Missionary work has the greatest side effects! Hence the title for today’s email.

Transfers are this week, but there really isn’t any chance that I’m going to be moved since I’m the only Elder assigned to my area (another Elder and I are covering two areas) so I am pretty much guaranteed to just get a new companion sent to me down here in Rock Hill South Carolina. Being in one area for so long (6 months after this next transfer) is just going to make it harder to leave when I do eventually get moved. I think I may know why I am still here though, so stay tuned because something exciting might be about to happen in next few weeks!

Everyone needs to go to Mormon.org right now and print off a #LightTheWorld calendar. If we all do each of the 25 ways to serve over the 25 days leading up to Christmas, imagine how great the world would be! Be sure to print off an extra one to give to someone else too!

I love y’all so much and sorry about the super long email, I will try to work on that!

Until next week,
Elder Klingler

Photos:
1. Someone gave us free meat so I got to use my chef skills (that I actually haven’t used a ton on my mission) and whipped up a little something for my companion and I!
2. Last Monday the district (a bunch of nearby missionaries) got together for a gingerbread house contest. Our house broke so we went for a haunted house theme…. so don’t judge too hard haha
