All about the Goals

Hey everyone!

This week we set a big goal to find 5 new people to teach, and it came to Friday and we had only found 1 all week. We had planned to go teach a bunch of people Friday afternoon but all of our appointments fell through, so we looked at our map and decided to go and just try a small nearby neighborhood and try to find some people to talk to. We were in that small neighborhood for almost 3 hours as just about every person wanted to know what we were all about. We ended up officially with 3 new people that wanted us to come back and teach them more! We were super excited, but still were only at 4 when we had a goal of 5. We send in our numbers on Sunday evening so we hit the streets on Sunday afternoon trying desperately to find just one more person so we could hit our goal, only instead we ended up finding 2 more people!

This premise can relate to any aspect of life, I promise you. If you take the time to set serious goals for yourself, and really try your absolute hardest to achieve them, then God will provide a way for you achieve it, so long as you have faith in him and rely on him.

This week we also got called in last minute to help clean up the Women’s Shelter that we’ve been helping them renovate downtown because they were going to show it to some potential big-donators so we went strait there to help, even though we were in our nice clothes. After spending over 2 hours cleaning the place (which hasn’t been cleaned since they started construction over a year ago) our clothes were SO dirty haha. I’m just glad we could help out.

We also went to teach someone Saturday afternoon and they had made us hotdogs and chili!!! Which was unexpected but also a huge blessing because we were so hungry but still had a bunch of people to go see.

I hope all of you are keeping an eye out for the unexpected blessings in your lives! No matter how small!

I wish you all the best!

Until next week,
Elder Klingler
