Week 4

Dear Everyone,

The weeks just seem to fly by quicker and quicker and there is nothing I can do about it!
This week in particular we had many miracles and plenty of good memories made. We went on exchanges on Wednesday which is basically where you and another missionary trade companions for 24 hours so I got sent up to a town called York and spent the day with Elder Sims. It was also my first day on bikes since the York Elders dont have a car. Needless to say, I am all the more thankful for the situation that I have down here in Chester!
Our favorite guy, Jeffery, has been trying to get his truck up and running so he can drive himself to church, but to no avail. Luckily, a neighbor of his traded him for their perfectly working van! AND we had another family of a single mom and her 7 kids who wanted to come to church, but they didnt own any cars. It just so happened that we knew a guy who has a brand new van with plenty of empty seats for her and her kids. The miracles just keep on coming folks!
OH and thanks to a little help from us, Jeffery is now 4 days cigarette-free! We could not be more excited for him as continues to progress! Please keep him in your prayers!
So much has happened these last few days but I dont have a lot of time to write today since we’re getting a bunch of missionaries together to play Eclipse Volleyball since I’m like right on the edge of the full eclipse down here! Traffic going south is going to be a nightmare though!
I wish you all luck with your endeavors, especially those who are beginning school. If you ever need inspiration to help someone in need, think back to a time when you did help someone and think to yourself, “if I hadnt helped, would someone else have, or would that person have had to endure that trial alone?”. God gives us trials because we can grow from them, but sometimes we grow more from how we react to the trials of those around us.
I challenge all of you this week to put aside your own trials, and look for ways that you can help someone else through theirs, and I promise that you will see an immense impact in your own life from doing so.
I look forward to hearing about all y’all’s experiences!!!
